La Redoute x Microsoft Azure
“Our technology roadmap is ambitious. While we have already made a lot of progress on omnichannel in recent years, we must always be on the move to offer our customers the best shopping experience. This is a real partnership that we are entering into with Microsoft, a partnership that will enable us to gain in agility, consistency and efficiency“. Philippe Berlan – Managing Director of La Redoute
In an increasingly complex and competitive environment, La Redoute chose Microsoft to help it accelerate this transformation and give it access to a modern, agile technological platform with permanent access to many new features. Microsoft Azure becomes the cloud provider for La Redoute and the Galeries Lafayette group.
Taking a new step towards modernisation
By joining the Microsoft Azure cloud, La Redoute’s objective is to build a modular, urbanised and open platform. This major change concerns all of La Redoute’s application assets (website, mobile site, app, etc.) in order to make them more agile, more responsive and more scalable, in particular with the ability to adapt to the various load peaks linked to major commercial events such as sales, French days and Black Friday.
Offer value-added services
The richness of Microsoft Azure’s services will enable La Redoute to accelerate the launch of its offerings, integrate new partners (Stripe, Mirakle, etc.) more easily, test new business models more quickly and then move on to scalable operations with agility.
It is also about continuing to improve La Redoute’s omnichannel experience, whether in-store or online, regardless of the contact channel chosen by customers, while strengthening the increasingly personalised links forged with them.
Supporting international development
La Redoute’s ambition is also to accelerate its international development and therefore wishes to adopt a unified operating model for all the countries where it operates. In addition to offering each subsidiary the same Microsoft Azure capabilities, offers and services, La Redoute also wants to provide them with increased experimentation and innovation capabilities.
Guaranteeing data security
Finally, to offer the best personalised experience to its customers, La Redoute, with Azure, will be able to exploit data on all channels while scrupulously respecting the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Moreover, aware of the security issues, La Redoute has also chosen the “Microsoft Sentinel” solution to secure all of its data and its information system.
“My teams and I are proud to support a flagship of the French economy such as La Redoute in its digital transformation. We are working with the company to enable it to develop in order to offer the best and most secure experience to its customers, but also to accompany it in its international expansion. I am certain that La Redoute can, thanks to digital technology and our solutions, become an example of French know-how.” Corine de Bilbao, President of Microsoft France
